| Bowl for Kids’ Sake
In ’08!
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Butler County is currently recruiting individuals interested in serving as team captains for our 2008 Bowl for Kids’ Sake campaign! Bowl for Kids’ Sake (BFKS) is the agency’s largest fundraiser and accounts for about 1/3 of its annual budget. The best part of this fundraiser is that BUTLER COUNTY DOLLARS STAY IN BUTLER COUNTY TO HELP BUTLER COUNTY KIDS! The Butler County affiliate is enjoying a season of growth; we served 113 kids in 2007, up from 85 in 2006. While this growth is exciting, we need additional revenue to sustain that growth. Here are the responsibilities of a team captain:
- Recruit 3-4 more people to be on your team. These can be family, friends, co-workers, or anyone else interested in making a difference!
- Send in your team information form to let us know who is on your team, and when you intend to bowl.
- You and each team member should collect $100 in pledges. Please make sure the pledge sheets are filled out completely, including addresses. You don’t have to collect the money up front, but extra incentives are offered for those who do!
- Show up at the bowling alley on your assigned day to eat pizza, drink pop, win prizes, and bowl!
Remember, it’s not about the bowling, it’s about helping kids who need it!
