Welcome
Bowl for Kids
sake is a great opportunity for the people of McPherson to become
involved in supporting their local Big Brothers Big Sisters program.
Moneys raised through this event will help the organization to match
Volunteers with a child in McPherson County. McPherson County is
currently serving 26 community matches and 45 in-school matches.
Big Brothers Big Sisters is a mentoring program that exists to aid
children who need additional friendships and support in their lives.
There are several
ways one can be a part of this wonderful event. Teams are needed
to participate. A team captain along with 3 friends, co-workers,
family, etc. can form a team and choose a date and time to bowl.
The goal for each team is to raise 300 dollars, which is less than
75 dollars per team member by soliciting monetary pledges. You can
collect the money or Big Brothers Big Sisters can bill your pledge
participants. Each team member will receive a T-shirt, free refreshments,
and a fun-filled day of bowling.
Sponsors are
also needed to make this event successful. Sponsors will receive
a sign with their name or business to be hung at the bowling alley
during the BFKS events. Sponsors will also receive free advertisement
by having their picture put in the newspaper recognizing their donation.
There are three levels of sponsorship 100 dollars, 250 dollars,
and 500 dollars. The size of the sign varies with the level of sponsorship.
Churches, businesses, companies, and schools that are looking for
a service project are encouraged to consider participating.
If having
a team or sponsoring doesn’t work for you then making a pledge
to an existing
team or to the agency is another way to help this years campaign
be a successful one.
BFKS sponsored by Koch Industries takes place on April 5 and April 6 at Starlite Lanes. Call 241-1943 for more information.
