FOP Fishing BFAD

A Big-for-a-Day Fishing event was held at the Fraternal Order of Police Lake on August 3rd, with officers from the Wichita Police Department volunteering as Bigs. Ken McCloskey, wildlife biologist from Kansas Wildlife and Parks, and three of his assistants gave a short fishing tutorial and helped get the 26 Littles and their volunteer Bigs outfitted for a morning of fishing. When the fish quit biting, the Littles enjoyed a dip in the lake, followed by burgers and fixings for lunch.

Ken McCloskey, KDWP, helps reel one in. Ken has been instrumental in the success of the fishing programs with Pass It On.	Proudly showing off his catch, this Little had a great time spending the morning with volunteers from the Wichita Police Department.
After a morning of fishing, a dip in the lake sounded like just the right thing!
