Signature Hunts of Kansas

Hunting Quail SE of Atlanta, KS

Dan Drake of Signature Hunts of KS, saw the article in the Wichita Eagle about the BBBS Pass It On program and wanted to be a part of it. They volunteered to host 2 Littles and their Bigs on a quail hunt on their controlled shooting preseve SE of Atlanta, KS. Littles Eric Mitchell and Dana Schweers were accompanied by Mike Christensen and Dan Brane for the hunt.

Kreg Boynton and Ron Barauskas hosted the hunt on February 8th. Little Eric bagged his first quail and Dana brought four birds to bag on the days hunt. Signature Hunts of KS had prepared a lunch for the field and everyone enjoyed a beautiful February day in Kansas. Sunny skies and a light wind with a touch of snow on the ground made the scenting conditions almost perfect for the dogs, and we were treated to some great dog work.

Signature Hunts of KS volunteered to host another 2 Littles and their Bigs when the youth turkey season comes around, April 5-6. BBBS says a big THANK YOU to Signature Hunts of KS!
