Pass It On
Sporting Clays Fundraiser "
2003 Bust-a-Clay for Kids' Sake"
The
first annual Bust-a-Clay for Kids' Sake was held April 24th & 25th
at Flint Oak Ranch, and from listening to all who attended, it
was a great time! And we even managed to net
over $6,500 for the Kansas Pass It On program. 20 shooters enjoyed
a fine meal on Friday evening and spent an enjoyable night at Flint
Oak's lodge.
The morning started off with a hearty breakfast, with lots of
banter about the upcoming Knock-Out game. An hour of Knock-Out
got the shooters primed for the main event. The Knock-Out game
was very intense, with the winning shooter breaking pieces of the
target to knock-out the other contestants.
Chris Harter was the HOA shooter, showing everyone on the course
just how it is supposed to be done!
Silver sponsors
for the event were Universal Lubricants and Quality Solutions,
Inc. Station sponsors were Isodyne, Inc. and Martin,
Pringle, Oliver, Wallace & Bauer, L.L.P. Major supporters of
the Pass It On program are the National Shooting Sports Foundation's
STEP OUTSIDE program and the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. Thanks
to these great folks, KS BBBS will be able to take many more at-risk
kids outdoors this year, introducing them to hunting, fishing,
archery, and other outdoor activities.

Knock-Out is a tough game when you have 4 shooters waiting
for you to leave a piece big enough for them to try to break! |

Mike and Jeff are seen here at station 1 on the West Course
at Flint Oak. One of the premeir shooting facilities in the
country, Flint Oak offered everyone a great time. |

Dave Marble just broke one! And it was one of many that day
as Dave was one of the top shooters. |

When it comes down to just two shooters left, you have to make
sure that you really smash that target! Leaving just a little
bit can knock you out! |
