BBBS of Dickinson Co. particpates in a fishing derby

ABILENE, KS. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Dickinson County Pass It On Littles, participated in a Fishing Derby hosted by Cabela's and the Herington and Abilene Parks and Rec Depts.

Little Brother Matthew Allen (7) fishing with Big Brother Dave Bond won the tournament by catching a 18 3/4 inch small mouth bass. Little Sister Samantha Hosie (9) fishing with Big-for-a-Day Erin Signer was 2nd with an 18 inch Catfish.

14 Little Brothers and Sisters participated in the event with their matches or Big-for-A-Days, Littles Dalton Belzer (12) and Alyn Fogerty (11) also finished in the top 10 out of over 100 fishing participants.

This was the first fishing event for the Dickinson County Pass It on Program.
