Fly fishing BFAD with Flatland Flyfishers Club

Eight Littles got a great introduction to fly fishing, thanks to 14 volunteers from the Flatland Flyfishers Club!

Once everyone was introduced and matched up for the day, we took a short hike to the pond for some instruction in flyfishing. The Flatland Flyfishers Club provided all of the fly rods and reels and the flies. Each Little received personal instruction on how to hold the rod and how to cast. After practicing casting with a colored yarn fly, it was time to see if we could hook a whopper!

Big Fred is showing Little Bobby some of the finer points of flyfishing.	A great group of guys enjoying a beautiful Kansas morning fishing.	Big Spencer is working with Little Quantezz on his form -- which wouldn't be quite right without the hat!
Big Neil has Little Tony practicing in the grass before trying it in the pond.	Little Josh has a whopper! And Big Lynn had a great time helping him bring it in!	With a little help from _____, Little Ben landed the first fish of the day.

The concentration on Little Dana's face says it all as Big Eric intently watches.	Big Gary lends a helping hand as Little Daniel works on his masterpiece.	Following the lead of the volunteer Bigs, Quantezz found that his cap made a great place to keep his flies!
	Everyone got in the fly-tieing act!
