Sumner Co. Wingshooting Clinic, 8/7

August 7, 2004

Littles from Sumner Country gathered at Shady Creek Sporting Clays to learn wingshooting skills from Jim Kellenberger/KDWP shooting instructor.

10 Littles were joined by 11 volunteers to spend the morning turning clays to dust. And everyone had a great time. Jim's teaching resulted in lots of broken clays in little time at all. Once everyone had a mastered the basics, a game of "knock-out" brought out the competitive juices and had everyone having a good time.

The morning's instruction was capped by a lunch of hamburgers and hot dogs.

Thanks to the many volunteers who took time from their schedules to make it a special day for these Littles. And a special thanks to KDWP and Jim Kellenberger, who have made it possible for us to introduce Littles across the state to the fun of shotgunning.
