Summer Skeet League 2004

June 15 - July 27, 2004

Bigs and Littles from BBBS of Sedgwick County participated in a Summer Skeet League at the Ark Valley Gun Club. While it was a first-time experience for most of the shooters, including most of the Bigs, everyone had a great time.

In addition to some of the community-based matches that participated, site-based matches were made, allowing some of the Littles from the waiting list to enjoy shooting during their summer vacation.

Plans are now in the works to put together even more shooters for the Fall Skeet League!

Speical thanks go to Universal Lubricants and to Guthridge Landscaping who helped sponsor the Littles for the league, offsetting the cost of the range fees and ammunition. Thanks also go to Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks for providing loaner shotguns for the Littles to use.

All BBBS participants were awarded Ark Valley Gun Club caps with their names monogrammed on the back by the Gun Club, in appreciation for their participation in the league.
