Archery 101, March 16 World champion competitor archers Ronnie Gill and Jannie White helped BBBS host Archery 101 at the Big Country Bow Hunter grounds. Matches, First Friends Little Brothers and Sisters, and BBBS staff were able to benefit from the knowledge, skill and experience of Ronnie and Jannie and learn about bow shooting. All who came were taught archery basics and had an great afternoon learning from the best archery teachers in the Abilene-area. The archery
event was a great success for all involved. Two hours of shooting
arrows at targets and balloons as well as shooting demonstrations
made for a fun-filled afternoon. The day was capped off with a hamburger
supper for all and a walk through the grounds at the Abilene Archery
Range. Thanks to Pass It On volunteers, Ronnie and Diane Gill; James
and Bonnie Young; Jannie White; Rick Ickeler and Brent Reeves, who
were the instructing archers. It is a great treat to have "world
class" archers that are willing to help all newcomers, young
and older alike.
