Lynette Mitchell Smith

Lynette has been with Big Brothers Big Sisters for almost 7 years, most recently as Program Director. 

In her position, she oversees all aspects of the non-profit agency that matches carefully screened, caring adults in a one-to-one relationship with a child in need of a mentor.

Tomi Ann Foust  has been with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Reno County for the past 5 years. Prior to her work with BBBS, she sold air for 102.9 FM and was the Championship Assistant/Volunteer Coordinator for the 2002 US Women’s Open golf championship. 

Before that, she taught public education for 20 years in Liberal and Hutchinson, Kansas. Foust graduated from Kansas State University with a BA in English; from Pittsburg State University with an MA in Secondary Education; and from Fort Hays State University with an MS in Gifted Education.

Vicki is the agency's Program Director.  She began work with the agency January 6, 2005 and started in her new position January 1, 2006.  Burnett comes to Big Brothers Big Sisters with an M.A. degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and a BA in Psychology.

Andrea Hembree

Andrea Hembree is an agency Case Manager and Recruitment Specialist.  Hembree comes to Big Brothers Big Sisters with a BA in Criminal Justice.  She started the position October 20, 2006. Hembree received her degree from Fort Hays State University, and also completed a minor in Spanish. 

She previously worked at Wal-Mart for 3 years during school and studied in Guadalajara, Mexico for the summer semester in 2005

Liz Dickinson is a Case Manager and is the Site-Based Coordinator. Dickinson received her bachelor’s degree in Criminology from Kansas State University in 2004. “I am excited to be joining a team that has a great impact on children’s lives.”

Joel Kennedy
Case Manager

Joel Kennedy has been a case manager for BBBS for almost a year on a part-time basis. He is also a Social Worker for Saint Francis Community Services in the Reintegration/Adoption program on a full-time basis. He has been employed there for almost 4 years. Joel received his bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Bethany College in 2004 and received his Master’s degree in Social Work from Newman University in 2007.

He is licensed to practice social work at the Master’s level. "I am proud to be part of two organizations that pride themselves on making a difference in children’s lives and hope that I can continue to make those kinds of contributions to BBBS and SFCS."

Joel is married to Rebeca Sandoval (now Sandoval-Kennedy), a therapist for Horizons Mental Health Center in Hutchinson. They have no children at this time but have 2 wonderful little dogs they DO consider their children. In his spare time, Kennedy enjoys playing golf, watching movies, and spending time with his wife.

Charles Stecker

Chad Stecker is a Case Manager.  He also is an Associate Pastor at Westbrook Baptist Church in Hutchinson.  Stecker received his bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Central Christian College in 2006.  He is passionate about helping others and looks forward to having a part in helping children and young adults have a better life.  “I am honored to have this opportunity with BBBS and look forward to being an encouragement to those within our community.”

Chad is married to Tanya Stecker, the 7th grade cheerleading coach for Prairie Hills Middle School.  Tanya also has the wonderful job of raising their beautiful daughter, Makayla Ranae Stecker.  Makayla is very happy about her father’s new position.
