Big Brothers Big Sisters of Scott, Greeley and Wichita Counties
provides one-on-one adult volunteers for school-aged boys and girls
who just need a little extra attention to make them feel special,
who are referred by educators, social workers, counselors, parents,
agencies and individuals. By providing positive role models, encouragement,
and exposure to healthy activities, these children will develop
positive habits, attitudes, and better self esteem, thereby realizing
their potential as adults.
Big Brothers Big sisters began in 1999 in Scott County and was
later joined by Greeley and Wichita counties in 2002, the main office
has always been at Basement of the Scott County Courthouse, Furnished
by K-state Research and Extension and County Commissioners.
